Story of Caldey
During the summer months I can be booked for a private guided walk on Caldey Island. A relaxed walk that includes the development of the island from the 6th Century to the present day. A visit to the old priory and churches of St Illtud's, St David's and the Abbey. Please note we cannot go into any other parts of the Abbey. The tour is a gentle walk but involves steps, slopes, uneven surfaces, cobbles etc, also periods of standing and is largely out doors. Please dress appropriately for all weathers. The tour may run for 2 hours.
Sometimes the crossing to the island is impossible due to the weather or tides, so please phone before hand to make sure that the tour will go ahead. Where possible an alternative date/time during the week will be offered. Normal Caldey boat prices apply.
