Story of Tenby

A guided walk around the historic town of Tenby. Discover the fascinating places and people of Tenby’s past. Henry VII escaped from here. Cromwell and Nelson visited. Riches, princes, plague and pigs – all have helped to shape the Tenby we see today. Starts in Tudor Square (beside the Yorkshire Building Society).

Story of Caldey

Caldey is looking forward to welcoming visitors again during summer 2021.

During the summer season, I can be booked for a private guided walk on Caldey Island. A relaxed walk that includes the development of the island from the 6th Century to the present day. A visit to the old priory and churches of St Illtud’s, St David’s and the Abbey church. Please note we cannot go into any other parts of the Abbey. The tour is a gentle walk but involves steps, slopes, uneven surfaces, cobbles etc, also periods of standing and is largely out doors. Please dress appropriately for all weathers. The tour may run for 2 hours.

Sometimes the crossing to the island is impossible due to the weather or tides, so please phone before hand to make sure that the tour will go ahead. Where possible an alternative date/time during the week will be offered. Normal Caldey boat prices apply. A deposit of 50% of fee is required at time of booking. This is non refundable unless the sailing is cancelled.

  • Walks are available for groups small and large ~ please call for more information.
  • Sometimes scheduled walks have to be cancelled for reasons beyond our control – if you are travelling far it may be advisable to check.
  • Please note-for private walks there is a £50.00 standing charge plus the cost of people at standard prices.
  • Sorry no recording of any walks is permitted by any method including mobile phones and tablets.
